Branding
Balaur takes its name from the Romanian dragon and from Balaur bondoc, the stocky dromaeosaur found in Transylvania that carried two sickle claws on each foot instead of one. The mark is those two claws, drawn in ink with the tips dipped in one blue wash.
The mark
Two versions exist and nothing else: ink claws with blue tips for paper, paper claws with blue tips for ink. The tile puts the paper version on a rounded square for favicons and app icons.
- Keep the gap between the claws; it is what separates them at small sizes.
- Use the mark as supplied. No recoloring, no outlines, no rotation, no shadows.
- Leave clear space around it of at least a quarter of its height.
- Below 16 pixels use the tile, whose ground keeps the shape readable.
The wordmark

The name is set in Alegreya Bold with the mark on the left, its height a little under the cap height of the type. In running text the name is written "Balaur", never in capitals.
Color
One accent, the blue of the wash, on tinted paper or blue-black ink. Nothing else is saturated.

The mark and wordmark identify the Balaur project. Use them to point at Balaur, for instance "made with Balaur", and not as the identity of another product.
